A Unique Cooker like an Airplane

This BBQ Pit is a 1 to 10 scale of the new
Continental 777 Wide Body of Jets.

The designer was Gilbert Falcon (pictured) who is shop foreman for Continental for the past 30 years. Gilbert is in the shop facilities at Houston Hobby Airport.  He has been at the Houston Texas rodeo cook off for the past 18 years. Klose BBQ Pits made the pit body, recessing hatch doors, windows, recessed thermometers, and tail section smokestacks. The Trailer was made in St. Louis, MO.  The wings are fiberglass styrofoam.
The cylinder is 3/8th inch steel. The whole 30 ft. rig weighs 38,000 pounds.  This was the first competition for the plane.  It can be seen later in Pasadena, Texas and possibly sometime this summer in Seattle at the Boeing Plant. I believe it won The Most Prestigious & Unique BBQ Pit at The Houston Rodeo Cook off for 1999.
